After the disappointment of England losing in the European Cup final, we visited the Chatsworth Estate, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. I've been here many times but I never tire of it.
Even though this house is on the Chatsworth Estate and painted in the Chatsworth colours it is actually privately owned.
I picked up three stalkers on the way. They followed me right from the top of the driveway.
The Church is in the village of Edensor (pronounced Ensor) and was custom built. The build was commissioned by the 6th Duke of Devonshire. We stopped off in the village to have a welcome cup of coffee as the dark crowds gathered over us. We just made it back to the car before the heavens opened.
A herd of deer hiding under the tree until one ran off and the others followed.
