It was another sunny day as I did a circular walk, hoping to spot a few butterflies.
Down one side of the walk, the trees form a bridge with their branches, shading you from the sun, but it cooled things off a little too much, so it was a bit chilly on this side. The dandelions are quickly changing into dandelion clocks, their seeds beginning to cover the side of the footpath.
Once back in the sun, the only butterfly I saw was a speckled wood. It landed on the ground and then into the greenery. It only stayed still for a brief second before flying off.
I did find a small ladybird sitting on a leaf. They don't move much so a lot easier to photograph.
The bluebells and blossom were still looking lovely along the footpath. The air was full of scent.
I finished my walk watching a starling on top of the bush for a while. They are quite common over here but I think they are quite attractive birds, up close.
