At last we had a nice day, although it was quite frosty first thing. I popped down to the local nature reserve hoping that not many people would be about on Boxing Day. The sun was out, but it wasn't very kind as far as photography is concerned.
Over the railway bridge ...
I like this part of the walk as I can see right down to the end of the footpath. If someone with another dog is coming, I can quickly put Buddy on the lead.
It was still frosty at the bottom of the wooden steps where the sun hadn't reached.
At the top it was nice and sunny. I wish I could climb the steps as quickly as the pooch. As per usual, he is miles in front of me. It's impossible to keep up with him.
In the distance, you can see the new housing development. They look like little boxes, but close up they are more like town houses with three storeys.
It was nice to see a puffball along the way. There's not much fungi about now.
I found a painted rock in my own village that was painted as a tortoise. Before I left the nature reserve, I rehid it.
