Another sunny day which has been a rarity for several weeks. Regardless of the cold weather, the spring flowers are springing! More hazel catkins are appearing along the hedgerows. They are commonly called 'lamb's tails' here, for obvious reasons.
I walked past the old sheep dip. In the 1920s, around 1,000 sheep were dipped every year to control disease.
On my regular walk around my village there's not just snowdrops, there's crocuses and cyclamen now.
I always like the look of this wooden gate when I walk past. It looks extra nice with the snowdrops.
I stopped to say hello to the two horses in the field. The brown and white one came to the gate so I could stroke it. The white one was a bit nonchalant and couldn't be bothered!
There is always a big puddle of water here as the water drains off the field. It always has a nice reflection of the tree in the puddle.
There is a little island of snowdrops, daffodils, and crocuses near the lake. Passersby always pull the weeds up in this little spot, or pick litter up to keep it looking good.
The lovely redberries looked very pretty near the stone cottage.
Along the road, two magpies sat at the very top of the tree, looking down on the two walkers below. It was good to finish a walk without getting caught in the rain.
