Yesterday I walked for the first time with music on my headphones. The last time I did this was in middle school age, when I was walking with my parents around the festive city during Shrovetide. Then played Pink Floyd "The Wall" and "The Dark Side Of The Moon". Of course, on cassettes.
After that, I never tried to walk with headphones again, so the experience was completely new.
The very first impression is that I'm watching a movie.
There is a very clear detachment from reality. As if some kind of glass is formed in front of me and the world around me.
I used to feel the city with all my senses at the same time, and with headphones I had to increase my visual attention, since the auditory one was completely absent.
I had to look around more.
Feelings were generally positive. I was able to walk much more distance.
People who constantly listen to music with headphones on the street are already used to this state and can relax and immerse themselves.
For me, these sensations were completely new, so I could only partially feel the atmosphere of the music.
And I didn’t try to take pictures at all, for a start I just walked.
Over time, I think it will be possible to try and shoot. It will be an interesting experiment.
Separately, I would like to mention people listening to music with headphones while riding a bike. This is very dangerous and needs to be stopped.
I am sure that even on foot a person's attention is already weakened, and on a bicycle the danger is simply extremely great.
Still, the most comfortable and familiar state is when I walk, hear and see everything around.
So I seem to merge with space.
If I need to get somewhere from point A to point B, then a route is automatically drawn in my head and often I don’t even have to think about how to get there faster.
And headphones allow you to look at the world a little from the side or close from it.
