For the last week or so, I have been posting images from a folder on my desktop old enough that it is labeled "Steemit Candidates," filled with images that I captured and edited, but never posted. I referred to this as "spring cleaning." I'm going to continue the spirit of spring cleaning today, with a twist. The images I'm posting today are not from that folder. These images are #analog, but I'm not posting in that community because these pictures were not captured on a nice analog camera...they were captured on a tiny Fuji point-and-shoot camera. My wife is doing spring cleaning of her own, and took these pictures out of the photo albums she maintains, since they "aren't really meaningful family memories." Really?
These images are from the Van's Warped Tour event in Southern California. The photos have "1989" stamped on the back, but the Warped Tour didn't start until 1995. I remember seeing Limp Bizkit at this particular event, and they were only on the tour in 1996 and 1997, so these pictures must be from one of those shows.
Back to the camera. Cameras were not allowed into the event. But, my tiny point-and-shoot fit into a case that slipped onto my belt. It was about the size and shape of a cell phone of the day, and I was able to convince the harried security guard at the gate that it was a phone. So, thanks to him being overwhelmed and allowing me in with a camera, here are some images of the mosh-pit at one of the stages, starting far off, and moving closer...
I doubt that MxPx tattoo aged well ;)
