Mandrills are the largest of the monkey species. The have a very distinct and recognizable face, with bright colors ranging from blue, red and purple. The brightness of these colors in males is something that reflects theri domincane as it is influenced by testosterone levels. This feature also helps them follow one another when they travel through dense vegetation. Thye inhabit the rainforest of central Africa and are omniverous feeding on fruits insects and reptiles.
