But I do know that it's a salamander.
Salamanders are some super-cool amphibians, and back in our native Wisconsin, we had seven species total. Here in the Ozarks, there are a lot more species, and we are still learning who's who. Such is the case with these particular salamanders. We found them nearby and released them after the photos, but we still don't even know what species they are. Maybe we'll find out later, but for now we just wanted to share some photos. Enjoy!
