The image was taken during a photographic flight over the island of Formentera, and the exactly spot is the passage between the main island and the rock of Espalmador, the northernmost point of the island. During the summer it is quite common to walk between the two islands, as if the sea is calm, the water is only waist-deep -you may see in the picture some people doing it- However, this does involve a certain risk, as if the weather conditions change, it is almost certain that you will not be able to return and will have to be rescued.
