El Significado del Salmo 19
Este salmo tiene un mensaje muy bello e importante: el hecho de que todo lo creado continuamente está contando que fue hecho por Dios, y desde su silencio (sin palabras y sin lenguaje) cuentan su gloria.
Los animales, el cielo, el sol, la Tierra, están continuamente proclamando que Dios les creó.
Es también una invitación para que los humanos nos unamos con nuestras voces y desde nuestros distintos lenguajes, con nuestras voces, a ese coro y juntamente con ellos demos gracias y gloria a Dios,
El ser humano es soberbio, se cree siempre “la tapa del frasco”, “la última pepsicola del desierto”, sin embargo, muchas veces se descubre más sensatez en especies que consideramos inferiores. Un ejemplo sencillo: ninguna especie animal daña el ambiente en que vive, mientras el ser humano ha destrozado (literalmente) su medio ambiente y sigue en esa misma labor en forma sostenida y se sigue llamando “inteligente”.
Si el hombre demuestra su inteligencia inventando cada vez tecnología que una semana antes ni soñábamos pudiera existir, muestra su brutalidad siendo cada vez más inhumano en lugar de ser más humano.
Es pavoroso constatar que ahora, al ver un pleito entre dos personas, quienes les rodean no hacen esfuerzo alguno por detener el hecho violento, solo se contentan con filmar divertidos lo que acontece, mientras más sangre mas diversión. Pero cuando decimos "ahora" olvidamos que hace centenares de años, era la misma humanidad la que acudía a los anfiteatros romanos a divertirse y disfrutar viendo en vivo cómo los animales salvajes devoraban a personas condenados por el delito de profesar una religión diferente. Y quienes disfrutaban de estos espectáculos no habían sido influenciados por caricaturas ni películas violentas ni por video juegos sangrientos.
El mal no está en la tecnología, el mal está en las personas...
El remedio... escuchar en el silencio la voz de la creación alabando a Su Dios, hacer lo propio, reconocer que ese Dioos es Padre de todas sus criaturas, lo cual nos hace a todos hermanos y... obrar en consecuencia... portarnos como tales. Como San Francisco de Asís con su "hermano lobo...hermano sol...hermana luna..." Él lo entendió, lo vivió y marcó la diferencia.
The Meaning of Psalm 19
This psalm has a very beautiful and important message: the fact that everything created is continually telling that it was made by God, and from their silence (without words and without language) they tell His glory.
The animals, the sky, the sun, the Earth, are continually proclaiming that God created them.
It is also an invitation for humans to join with our voices and from our different languages, to that choir and together with them give thanks and glory to God,

A simple example: no animal species harms the environment in which it lives, while human beings have (literally) destroyed their environment and continue to do the same job on a sustained basis and continue to call themselves “intelligent”.
If man shows his intelligence by constantly inventing technology that a week before we didn't even dream could exist, he shows his brutality by being more and more inhuman instead of being more human.
It is terrifying to see that now, when they see a lawsuit between two people, those around them make no effort to stop the violent act, they just content themselves with filming what happens with amusement, the more blood the more fun. But when we say "now" we forget that hundreds of years ago, it was humanity itself that went to the Roman amphitheatres to have fun and enjoy watching live how wild animals devoured people convicted of professing a different religion. And those who enjoyed these shows had not been influenced by cartoons or violent movies or bloody video games.
Evil is not in technology, evil is in people...
The remedy... listen in silence to the voice of creation praising His God, do the same, recognize that God is the Father of all his creatures, which makes us all brothers and... act accordingly... behave as such. Like Saint Francis of Assisi with his "brother wolf...brother sun...sister moon..." He understood it, lived it and made a difference.
