About a decade ago when I was getting my certification as an Ayurveda practitioner we learned of all the healing wonders of this magical corm. It’s anti-inflammatory properties are wonderful if consumed consistently and it helps with rheumatoid arthritis like nothing else! I just couldn’t get over the taste. I am not a fan of it in food or milk teas such as in golden milk but knowing it helps me so much and bring aware that capsule form is not the same thing I started making it into a tea that is my main drink when I wake up everyday. And best of all, I enjoy it!
I juice 3 turmeric corms with 3 large pieces of ginger. I really like my Omega Juicer as it has been the one that has last me the longest and squeezes everything out from whatever I’m juicing.
I keep this juice in a glass jar in my fridge and add two tablespoons to a cup of hot water, the juice of one lemon, teabag of your choice and a teaspoon of raw honey.
Delicious!
I drink it daily on an empty stomach as I feel it works better for me that way.
Ginger and turmeric are both easy to grow so the supply is endless and I’m very grateful for my little patch of dirt and the healing it provides my family and I!
Do you like the taste of turmeric?
May your home be filled with warmth, your pantry full and may you always have good health!
Off to working out I go!
