In May ,
on the 7th to be precise,
I had my birthday.
And among the gifts and present was a treatment called cupping.
It’s a treatment that makes the blood run better and will release blockages. Also
waste products in your blood and body. Sounds interesting right?
I handed in my voucher at the appointment made and was curious how I would like it. On arrival I was given tea and allowed to sit on the couch. The salon was homey and tidy. Incense in the window and soft ibiza music in the background.
I was together with the friend who gave me the voucher. The photos were taken by her so k could see the redness and do a blog like I am doing now after the treatment.
After an explanation from the salon owner, I was able to make myself comfortable on the treatment table and take off my T-shirt. Cupping is the suction of glass balls that ensure good blood flow through movements with oil over your skin. It didn't hurt but it wasn't super nice either.
But it took some getting used to and after 10 minutes it was pretty nice and massaging. The treatment lasted an hour. It was pleasant and the evening felt like a relaxing flow in my body.
During the cupping my skin was red, but that was normal according to my therapist. I can recommend it to everyone. This cup treatment is not to be confused with cups that are sucked in by a flame and leave round prints. That's Chinese and I'm going to try it again. This was cupping with oil, that’s how the glass cups were easy to move over my skin.
This is more connective tissue massage and drainage of waste. I had good blood flow because I didn't turn blue the next day. I will definitely go back again but then I will have my legs done. Legs are apparently also good for cupping due to standing a lot and walking on my heels I also suffer from my legs in the sense that fatigue hurts them. I will definitely make a blog about that too. I didn't know this but I'm excited. Have you ever cupped?
My arms were cupped aswell. It’s a nice feeling through your arms to hands and fingers.
The redness felt like a tinteling sensation and was also because of the oil that was used.
In my neck there was a line but that was gone after a few hours.
The bed was very comfy and I know it from the hockey massage table during tournaments.
These are the four cuppers she used.
Photos are mine taken by the friend who gave me the present voucher and who was next after me. She also did a REIKI treatment against inner stress. That’s nothing for me. I am good knowing cupping now.
Until we read again, Thanks for stopping by,
its appreciated and remember always focus on being creative instead of being bee-zy.
