So much information here but, it does make sense. Now in my 30's I am just starting to have a regular period for the first time in my life! kinda crazy that it has taken so long but, I had a history of something similar to an eating disorder due to anxiety when I was a teen and in my 20's. Oddly enough though I was heavier then than I am now. I think I was eating plenty of carbs but not enough useful calories. Now I eat carbs and focus on veggies, proteins and healthy fats and feel much better, and I dare say, look much better too. Thanks for all of this information, it is interesting that carbs are important to the period!
