The Noni fruit. Love it or hate it.
The Noni fruit. Love it or hate it! Opinions are passionately mixed about the taste of Noni. Everyone agrees it's a strong taste. But the benefits far outweigh any taste issues. Full of antioxidants, with lots of vitamins such as C, B3, and the mineral Iron, the little fruit bursts with greatness if not taste. Personal experience tells the juice is wonderful for the benefits. A blast of goodness is felt immediately. Many thanks to for turning me on to Noni during the Cambodia days.
" A blast of goodness is felt immediately"

How to take Noni?
Firstly, find a Noni tree. They grow in most tropical areas with many varieties. The picture below is the type in my area in Phuket, Thailand. After riding my bicycle around with the photo on my phone, I found a few trees and keep finding more. The locals occasionally use the leaf to cook but rarely use the fruit. You can eat the ripe fruit straight away (very strong), make fresh juice (shown in the last video), or 2 months in the sun juice.

Picking and bottling fruit
Once you find a tree and have deemed it ok to pick go for the white opaque fruits. These are the ripe ones. The rest are green and not suitable. After picking what you need, wash and dry carefully. Obviously, you want everything to be as clean and sterile as possible. Put them in glass jars seen below and leave in the sun for two months.

Strain into bottles
After two months, your glass jars should be full of brown liquid. Pour the liquid through a strainer into bottles such as the one below. You can push down on the fruit for more juice but avoid squeezing as it will just fall apart. Dump the used fruit in your compost pile and the juice is ready for drinking. I take one to two capfulls almost every day after dinner with some water after. Some people need a bit of sugar cane juice to sweeten the taste.
The fresh fruit is much stronger in taste then the aged juice. Some people really humorously don't like the taste of the fruit as seen below.
Now, there's no need to be like this.
Finally, the *Rasta knows what's best. Ital Noni.
Thanks for reading my post and hope you enjoyed and get your own Noni going. Feel free to ask any questions or leave comments.
