Hello friends of #naturalmedicine, I have had the opportunity to share with you some home remedies and / or routines for the well-being of our body and / or mind, that satisfies me enormously; I previously did not participate in the gardening challenges made by , however I assume they must have been fantastic and very powerful in terms of health and well-being.
Today I thank for encouraging us to continue in this medium and wanting us to enter and be part of the challenge, anywhere in the world; As in my case, Venezuela, where the flora is special that is how I consider it, in everything that surrounds me and we can benefit from the healing properties of plants and in part use it in an edible way in meals. The variety is so great that we can make this moment in the community BIG!
This time I will talk about my silver oregano, which for me, when I always look at it with affection, I say: "oregano bonsai".
I don't have big gardens at home, when I'm in town, I only have a flower pot, placed outside my window. But she brightens my days, I see life in her and she transmits it to me.
PS: I look forward to continually sharing plants and home remedies as I travel to my childhood home, occasionally bringing new plants.
My start as a small garden at home
This name that I affectionately give to my oregano plant, "oregano bonsai", is because my mother gave it to me, she brought it to me from our town so that I could have part of our childhood home here; I thought it was great, because it is ours, in our house in the village, there are abundant oregano plants everywhere and many others, I would not stop counting it.
My mother prepared it and the plant was tiny at first, and little by little it has grown to this size and that makes me happy.
I always water it to maintain it and also use its leaves as food, I love the smell of oregano and it fascinates me at meals.
What do I want to share in the community in this beautiful challenge of love for plants?
When reading everything raised, how they are expressed in gardens, herbs, large or small crops, I wanted to show a little more respect and love for my plant and start the cleaning process, taking care to keep it beautiful and also to plant another oregano plant in another "pot" and make more life at home; thanks to this community that is really passionate about what it does and transmits that passion.
What will I use?
I'm certainly not an expert, but I try as much as possible to learn and do, I accept suggestions, recommendations. It would be easier with the family at home that has a beautiful garden and has the necessary experience, but being far away it is up to me to do my part at a distance.
Let's start with giving more love to the oregano plant:
This is my plant, my little love at home, what do I want to do?
Make the plant feel more alive, it has been with the soil for a long time, I see it a bit dry, I want to remove it and place a new soil with fertilized soil, not remove all only part of it.
I will also have to cut some twigs, which stick out and thus help it to grow practically inside the pot.
I will water the plant to finish the process, its water with new soil.
Remove old soil.
I felt quite comfortable doing this work, I was a little afraid of damaging the plant, I did it carefully.
- I am removing little by little, starting at the corners of the plant pot, from the outside to the inside, very carefully.
- Empty the land that is no longer used in another container.
- Then, I continue with my work and when removing the old soil, I add the fertilized soil to the plant, so that it has its new soil.
- I have made this little video while arranging the new fertilized soil.
- When I finished putting in the new fertilized soil, I added water so that the soil was absorbed and the plant was fresh.
Preparing the "new pot" for the planting of a new oregano plant.
- I begin to cut about three twigs of the old plant already planted, to be able to make the new planting.
- The flowerpot is typical of the house, I thought it was cute. Here I add the new fertilized soil.
- After adding the earth, I proceed to make three small holes for the three twigs that I have cut.
- In this way I have cleaned the twig, to later sow it.
- I start the sowing process, calmly and that they remain firm, not bent.
- Some nice oregano plants that I hope will have a nice life in this pot that I have provided for them.

Posing at my window
This is how my two oregan plants have been, the one I already had and I did some care and the new one that will make life in it.
It was a pleasure for me to share this wonderful experience of caring for my plant. Living in apartments limits a bit having a huge garden, but it would be great to expand to a large garden at home.
