Meet WV's newest yoga teacher
It took 8 months of hard work, but has finally done it. She began her 200hr yoga teacher training with Yoga Power last October. I wrote a post back then when she was first starting, you can view that here. I haven't really posted about it since then though.
Instead of cramming all of her training into just two weeks like some studios do, she only had to go one weekend out of each month. It all began in October and was finally over in May. She would spend 25 hours at yoga training on Fri/Sat/Sun, then she would be off for a month before she had to do it again. This allowed her to keep working her job throughout all of her training. Fridays were often the most difficult since she would work all day, and then afterwards have to rush to yoga where she spent several hours. She paid for her training out of pocket, which was not easy.
I'm so proud of her for not only paying her way through school by working, but also since she didn't miss one class. A lot of her fellow students were absent throughout the training, they had to make up what they missed by going to extra classes. Some still didn't even graduate, although they started at the same time as her. She was one of only a few to actually finish on time.
I have posted before about how and I both enjoy yoga, check out what I'm talking about in this blog. I used to teach aerial yoga classes at Yoga Power, the same place where she did her training. That was back in 2017. Right when I stopped teaching is when I began my crypto journey and making daily posts on my blog. I am so grateful that I started down the crypto path, but I do miss being as physically fit as I was when I taught. Hopefully now that I have a yoga teaching girlfriend, I will start doing it more often again.
is going to start teaching some classes at Yoga Power very soon. I am not sure exactly what her schedule will be yet. I have a feeling that she will only be able to teach while I am stuck working my day job. It will be a goal of mine to go to one of her classes eventually. I figure I will let her get used to having her own students before I bombard here with me inspecting how exactly she goes about her practice when she is in control of the room.
I am thrilled that my girl is committed enough to finish something as tiresome as yoga teacher training. 200 hours is no joke, some days she did 4-5 hours of yoga on top of studies. I think she must have learned a lot during her training. I would say that she is for certain more confident in her own yoga skills now. I believe that teaching classes will be an excellent way for her to get even more used to speaking to a crowd. It won't be easy at first, but I know she will be a fantastic yoga teacher. It is only a matter of time before she finds her groove and really gets to experience what it is like to be a yoga teacher.
Congratulations to for graduating from Yoga Power's 200hr YTT. I'm ecstatic to see where your future with yoga takes you.
Take a look at some of the photos of her getting her certificate and the graduation party with her classmates.
