Good day and good week fellow seekers of the Natural Medicines. My lovely wife has been on a stone and crystal buying bender online. One evening some runestones came across her favorite auction and knowing that one of the only mystical thing I like is Nordic runes, she immediately snatched them up for me. Thank you very much, honey as I did not feel like my 3D printed set was legit. Plastic just doesn't feel right when it comes to divinitation.
The way I was taught to read stones (and I know there are many many methods) is the simple 3 stone method with the first stone drawn being a representation of your past. The next stone is the present and the stone after is the future. I am rusty with reading stones and will be relying on the mobile app Runes and Runic Formulas by World of Secrets (available on google play) They provide a wonderful rune table to look up the meaning of what you drew.
This is the third time I've pulled this stone in this particular orientation. Twice while idly thumbing the set and then again this morning. Of note is that a reverse Wunyo is often drawn by people who lack self-confidence and self-respect. It is a reminder to learn to love oneself. I do struggle with confidence, so this is quite fitting.
"Take your time, don't rush important decisions." Last week I was mulling over starting 3 projects at school to get the kids more involved in STEM subjects.
"Don't overestimate people." I noticed that 2 of the students I was thinking of asking to join one of two of the projects didn't end up showing interest by the end of the week.
Mannaz is the embodiment of self-knowledge and the ego. And mine is upside down! Balls.
A reversed Mannaz warns to pay attention to competitors looking to cut you down. And it might be in a situation where even your family can't help you. Postpone plans for the future because they will be met with adversity.
Well, Based on what I wrote above, I think I'll postpone at least two of the projects I have ideas for and transition the third project so it can't be met with adversity. This third project is setting a pair of students up as caretakers for the plant towers we have in the school. Because we are in Nunavut, the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (or IQ principles for us southern folk) is something that the curriculum must come back to. And plant towers hit so many of the IQ principles. By my count, 6 of the 8 are fulfilled.

The rune of victory. Provides power and integrity. No reverse meaning. Thank the gods.
This rune is considered by some to be the last rune. And it is often thought to bring a lucky completion to a beginning. Here's hoping that's a reference to the Plant Tower Maintenance Crew!
But sometimes Sowilo can represent mental torment, especially when it is accompanied by a Wunjo rune. Which I have drawn. It can mean that a person is being overworked and they are not finding the proper ways to relax. Well, I have to say this one is feeling true, as well.
Last week the kids had me working overtime to meet their demands of 3D printed projects and I then came home and spent more time 3D printing stuff on my own printer. Not an ideal way to unwind hehe
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you enjoyed it, please follow me for future readings. It will be interesting to see how each week connects to the next. The weaving of my lone thread through the fabric of time.
