I have mentioned chamomile tea a couple of times. I have heard many reviews saying it helps them relax before going to dreamland. Not only that, many blogs mentioned chamomile tea alleviates anxiety. These claims are backed with numerous medical articles and even Dr OZ mentioned about it. So, I was sold to this idea. According to healthline article, it was mentioned that it may improve the quality of sleep which is the most common claim for Chamomile tea benefits. Hence why, I was sold to this idea.
Improving sleep quality with herbal tea
Unfortunately, I am beyond help. The tea that supposed to work, didn't work for me. It had zero effect in my body. I did not feel my sleep quality improved, I did not feel any significant effect as if I am immune to chamomile tea.
I wonder if I was wrong in preparing the tea or I bought the wrong product. If anyone knows a good brand, leave a comment below.
What I bought was Dilmah brand, a ceylon based tea company. As written in the packaging, it's 100% chamomile tea infusion.
How to make the tea
- Put a bag inside a cup
- Steep in a hot water for 5 minutes
- Enjoy while it's hot
My experience?
So far it has not helped me with my sleeping problem. Even if I drink that tea, I still have sleeping problem and anxiety. So far, it's not that potent with helping me alleviate my sleeping problem.
