This cleanse is in the home stretch. I can’t believe how quickly this went. I would’ve thought at the beginning that it was going to drag out. However, it’s flying by. I’ve managed to remain active and the food I’ve been eating has been delicious. Add in that my meditations and self-reflection keep me in a state of intention so I’m not obsessing over things that I think I’m lacking. I’m learning to focus on what I have and what I’m working on.
Sleep Returns
After a night of restlessness due to my lungs acting up (thanks Canada), I got back on schedule. Head hit the pillow and I was up and running at 5:20 am like I was shot out of a cannon.
I also looked at my health app for the first time in a while and it looks like this past week I’m up to an average of 8.8 miles a day. Hauling mulch up and down our backyard hill was a big piece of this I’m sure.
Food Porn
This evening Jocelyn made a plant based minestrone soup that was fantastic. She was even nice enough to get pasta specifically for me because I’m not doing gluten on the cleanse. The Brown Rice & Quinoa flour pasta was really good. I also got to have popcorn as we sat down with my eldest daughter and watched a couple episodes of Charmed.
The Mulch is Gone!
It took a few days but the giant pile of mulch has been redistributed. The ironic thing is I’m looking forward to the next pile because the pieces of the property that still have overgrowth are now an eyesore to me, lol. Luckily enough, we have a tree that will be taken down in a few days that will give us some more mulch to spread.
*Day 24 is on the horizon and I can’t wait to reach the finish line!
