Saludos, el día de hoy no me he sentido muy bien, tremenda manera de iniciar el 2021, pase la noche con escalofríos y malestar en la garganta, sin embargo me pare a realizar mi labores diarias, es más intente hacer más cosas de lo habitual para no mantener mi cuerpo en reposo, siento que si me acuesto me pongo peor, pero luego del almuerzo debí parar pues el malestar estaba más fuerte, los síntomas típicos de un resfriado común, estornudos, congestión nasal, moqueo, lagrimeo, dolor de garganta, siendo este último el más molesto, pero oh oh! la alarma se prendió, tenemos una pandemia activa con síntomas muy similares, por lo cual no puedo solo ignorar los síntomas.

Así que me dispuse a llamar a mi médico de cabecera para informarle, el cual me calmo un poco, me indico que le informara si aparecen otros síntomas como fiebre, perdida de gusto y olfato, entre otros. Me sugirió primeramente hacer vaporizaciones con una planta que tengo en mi patio llamada científicamente Plectranthus Tomentosa para mejorar la congestión nasal y el dolor de garganta los cuales son síntomas muy molestos.

Esta planta tiene una apariencia muy linda su tallo y hojas poseen pequeños vellos que le dan una apariencia aterciopelada, sus hojas son carnosas y al frotarlas sale un aroma mentolado muy similar a la pomada vick vaporub, es así como se le conoce coloquialmente a esta planta. Es muy fácil de cultivar, mi hermano que regalo una ramita hace un año y mi planta está muy grande, honestamente casi no le doy cuidados, solo la tengo debajo de la mata de limón para que no le den los rayos del sol directamente y la riego un día sí y un día no.

Para hacer las vaporizaciones se toman unas hojas y se colocan en un olla, la dejamos que rompa hervor y apagamos, luego con un trapo cubrimos la cabeza y la olla con la intención de respirar ese vapor, y casi de inmediato sentí su efecto descongestionante. Además investigando un poco pude conocer que tiene más beneficios como anti-inflamatorios, también se puede tomar en forma de infusión y son usados como repelente para mosquitos debido al aroma que expulsan. Espero amanecer mejor el día de mañana.
