Running this week was the Natural Medicine Movement Challenge, which wrapped up yesterday. There has been a wide variety of posts on that topic. See the entries in the challenge winner announcement post here
In the northern hemisphere the gardens have been full on so you will find many gardening and food as medicine posts. And with the June Solstice happening (whether that is summer or winter solstice for you, depends on where you live) there has been posts on this. Let’s have a look at one of these and some of the other post I wish to highlight for you…
@Artemislives has a post on Summer Solstice Day and International Yoga Day. Artemislives is very familiar with the outward celebration of the solstice but in this post she is sharing about the solstice and the inner self, where she writes
It matters not if we saw the physical sun rise today - what really matters is that we're connected to our own rising kundalini sun - healthy and unfettered by old energies and released to rise and shine brightly
She had been injured just before the solstice which thwarted her plans for the day so she took the opportunity to reflect and see what lessons life was trying to teach her. Her discoveries were that she had badly bruised her coccyx which is the seat and foundation of the sacral chakra - the svadhisthana. Delving into this she shared with us some Yoga asanas for opening and aligning Svadhisthana. A wonderful post! Go check it out here
Some other posts on the solstice were from:
had a Solstice post here
I, , did my entry for the Movement Challenge combined with a summer solstice post here
And gave some Astrological insights into Mercury retrograde and the solstice solar eclipse here
The next post I want to share with you is from all about laughter where he writes:
Life is for celebrating, being happy and for artistic creativity because it is this positive attitude that not only uplifts the soul, but it also inspires the mind, improves mental health and also physical health.
So if you want some relief from the serious and concerned mood that seems to be predominate at this time read his post here
Another who wrote about humor was sharing his beautiful poetry on the topic here
Next we have who wrote an essay on What is health? And what health looks like to her? What does functioning at optimal potential look like? Trying to get in touch more with the healthy version of herself.
Give it a read here
and see if it inspires you to be the healthy version of yourself - I know it inspired me!
I would be amiss if i didn't mention 's post where he talks of walking the Ancient Medicine Path and of his friend who is a student of Traditional Plant Medicine on a quest to get back the ancient knowledge of Sacred Medicinal Plants looking to learn all he can about Traditional South American Plant Medicine from the shamans, curanderos and taitas to give that knowledge back to his people.
In this post he shares his friends story - A PILGRIMAGE FOR GLOBAL HEALING
by Alex E.G. Moore-Minott and Malkia C.S.Moore-Minott
