Here today I want to share a very sacred plant, that is very common in India. That plant is called Tulsi.. In English it is called Holy Basil.
⢠The scientific name of Holy Basil is Ocimum Tenuiflorum and it is an aromatic plant in the family Lamiaceae.
⢠This plant is commonly found in India houses, in the morning it's a ritual to water the plant after taking bath.
⢠Ayurveda (The ancient science of medicine In India) has given a great importance to the plant of Holy Basil.
⢠Basil leaves possess antibacterial and antiviral properties so they act as immunity booster.
⢠You can make Basil tea by boiling a few Basil leaves in water. Once the water get halves in quantity, strain it and drink it. You may add jaggery or honey to make it tasty.
⢠If you consume Basil tea regularly it may help you in treating common cold, allergies, fever, stomach issues etc.
⢠Basil herb is used with other herbs to treat many kind of ailments.
⢠Basil plant can easily be grown in ground or in the pot.
⢠The plant is sufficiently hardy and can be grown in any type of soil except the ones with highly saline or alkaline conditions.
⢠It is my My personal experience that once or twice I got flu due to some kind of allergy.. But it immediately subsided after consuming Basil tea two or three times. You may also add Basil leaves to your normal tea you regularly drink.
