1 Month of Growing my 1st Potatoes and Onions

I planted maybe 5 weeks ago, these red potatoes shot up so very quickly! ... unfortunately, i forgot to bring them in on a night where it totally froze so i had some setbacks(check the 3rd pic) ...but they have bounced back wonderfully! in the potato pot, i have two reds and one blue-the growth is mostly the red potato, the blue seems to be skinny and stringy, kinda vine-y

Here are the excellent felt 10 gallon containers with Windows (i still have 2 more, I'm thinking i wanna do ginger or maybe beets or carrots. any suggestions?

hopefully i will have some more updates as Spring rolls around! a i had them on the patio all week, then we got 4 inches of snow yesterday! ..am trying to really get the patio garden going this year.
