I got a piece of wise advice from one of my close friends. "Don't live on other's thought, live on your own."
It's not like I always care about what others are thinking about my life but my surroundings sometimes force me to. I guess it happens to everyone. So I asked her, what could be the most helpful instant mantra I can say to myself to get out from the mental trap?
Well, we were not sure what would work for us the best. But we came up with an idea to ask ourselves, ' what I want to be'?
This is such a strong question, every time I ask myself I wonder. It has the power to pull myself out from whatever negative thoughts I'm having and living on what I believe. And not just asking, saying to myself what I want to work as a guideline. It automatically swipes off the worries and stress I'm having.
Believe me, this changed my life.
It brings peace of mind and most importantly I learned to decide what things I want to be included in my life and whatnot.
You can try it, just start saying loudly or in your head what you really want to be. As I say, I want to be strong, I want to be a loving mom and a caring wife, I want to be honest, I want to bring peace in my and others' lives as well. This is giving me a clear focus on what I'm living for and how I'm living.
Moreover, when something goes wrong or I feel mad; I just take a second off to say, I want to be strong, nice, and gentle. And it works like a magic.
Try saying this, make a mantra or say whatever you feel like and see the magic!
