Thank you also for the Gregorian chanting. It is indeed quite soothing to listen to, once the initial knee jerk reaction toward 'church music' passes. The select group of notes they sing are today known as the solfeggio frequencies, so this is very relevant to this post. It would be wonderful to hear these voices in a room with good resonance. Like the empty church we found the other day!

I just want you to know that it is necessary in this world to be open to the possibility that everything we have been told is a lie, while also remaining open to the possibility that life is so much more wonderful than we have been told! The person whose message you showed is stuck in the world of skepticism and cannot see the wonderful. He is right to be skeptical but wrong to put everything under the same label without full investigation.

From what i can tell Carol you are doing a great job at finding a balance with these things. While you may not have felt direct results from the wands of Horus you did at least buy them and try it. As did i. And this is a massive step. Can't say that i've experienced anything direct from them either but i do still like holding them sometimes and will never stop trying new things.

I am personally unable to communicate my true message to people outside of my family here in France so i do feel your pain. But i think these things are sent to test us or perhaps to re-balance our karma from other periods in our life? As someone who does have periods in his life to atone for i think this decade of solitude here in France has been my pennants in many ways. But i have stuck it out and looked for the lessons. Of which there have been many!

I understand too your desire to help people. Feel this one deeply but it's just so hard when they are not ready. Well, let's be honest. It's impossible! No matter how much we might love them. Or them us.

So as long as we remain true to ourselves it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks/says/does. I gave up trying to persuade anyone of anything a long time ago. When i am excited about stuff i might tell them about it but i don't for one moment expect them to believe anything based on my words alone. And that's okay. Perhaps one day another friend will start to talk about the same subject with the same passion and only then will they take it seriously? Very often that's how it goes.

But I think what's been most helpful during this decade is the community right here on hive. Really helps, even if it's just with one or two people, to interact here. With old friends who endure the same kind of problems!

As for Jesus and John the Baptist i did have something i wanted to say. Long time ago these people meant a lot to me and like you i would pray, hoping for change which never came. Was at a Church of England boarding school as a child and sang in the choir every morning in our own chapel, ultimately choosing Religious Studies (which included a very intense study of the Gospels) as the subject i would focus on for two years. My study of the Gospels ultimately made me distrust them and while I still believe these biblical characters existed, am much more skeptical today of the way in which their words have been augmented over the years to suit different agendas. So in many cases i think original meaning has been lost and we have to be a little bit careful today about taking their words too directly.

The action of prayer is a very healthy one however and acknowledging a Higher Power is an essential part of our natural development as humans. I think the way we pray has been forgotten however. Personally i make it all about thanks. So i pray before my first food of each day thanking the Almighty for blessing my food and all those responsible for bringing it to me. I thank Him for blessing the animal which did not die for my meal and i thank Him for the optimum nutrition entering my body. So rather than ask for anything i thank for it, like it's already there. The basic principle of Law of Attraction. Group prayer is the most powerful. Have seen enough evidence from NDEs to know this one.

For the article indicating that too many herbal teas can be harmful to the health i can only laugh. Too much of anything can kill us. What about the health implications of taking pills every day? That would be an interesting comparison. Because it seems to me that no one is dying from herbal teas while millions are dying from trusting the medical industry and taking pills every day. The majority of humans are very toxic these days but we can't very well blame the plants for that.

Every year Sabrina & i grow more and more plants specifically for tea. This year we grew artemisia for the first time and i took a small bag for my sister when i went to the UK in October. For the last two years her teenage daughter had nasty spots & boils all over her body and the doctors had been unable to help. They recommended three months of antibiotics. Instead my sister gave her two cups of artemisia tea every day (because it is a natural antibiotic) and in a month her daughter didn't have spots any more. The doctors were stunned.

While here in France we have been told firmly by Sabrina's parents that if we talk about plants one more time they will get very angry with us! So they stay sick and we don't talk about plants any more.

I just focus on my gratitude that my sister was open to trying it :)
