Today when I was coming back from my farm, I saw a plant, which is called Datura. The fruits of this plant look like green colored balls, which are full of thorns. Its flowers are white in color and are also large in size.The Datura metel plant can grow up to 2 feet tall.
The plant of Datura metel is a medicinal plant, it also has many Ayurvedic properties. Its plant is also used in the treatment of many diseases.
Datura leaves and roots are used to make medicine. It is used as a medicine for loss of appetite. Datura Righti is also used on the skin for skin diseases.
Datura plant is known for its insecticidal, herbicide, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatoid activity. Datura is also known to be rich in alkaloidal compounds.
Datura is used to get relief from asthma, persistent cough and pain disorders.
Datura has medicinal properties, but it can also be dangerous for us. Therefore, a doctor should be consulted before using it.
In India, Datura is considered very important from religious point of view. It is used in the worship of Lord Shiva.
While offering Dhatura to Lord Shiva, it is hoped that he can rid us of the poison of jealousy, arrogance, abusive language and evil disposition and the person becomes completely cleansed from all his sins.
