Welcome to my blog of amazing and delicious dishes, today on the menu is a very healthy dish and easy to make. Also, the dish is highly nutritious in all aspects. So today let us have a look at the detailed recipe of :
Nutrela Brown Rice.
Nutrela brown rice are high on protein, fibre, vitamins and even a small portion is very much filling and low on calorie. So without wasting much time let us get on to the recipe.
The Ingredients :
- Brown Rice - 2 cups.
- Peas - 1 cup.
- Boiled Nutrela chunks - 2 cups.
- Tofu - 250 Gms.
- Capsicum - 1(roughly chopped).
- Onion - 2(roughly chopped).
- Regular Spices - Cumin Seeds, Salt, Garam Masala, Red chilli powder.
The process..
First, water soak brown rice for 5 minutes, this is mainly washing the rice.
Take a pressure cooker and add 2 tbsp of oil and half a tablespoon of cumin seeds.
Now, add chopped onions to sautee.
Once the onions are done add peas and capsicum.
Add boiled nutrela.
Also, add tofu chunks, let the veggies simmer for a minute.
Add spices
- Salt to taste.
- 1 tbsp of Garam Masala.
- 2 tbsp of Red Chilli powder.
When adding water:
One thing to be kept in mind that brown rice soaks a lot of water, so whenever you are cooking brown rice the ratio of water should be thrice the amount of rice. So, I have added 6 cups of water.
