I'm a bit south of you, and in the same general zone. Mullein grows all over here, and I have some coming up in the gravel parking area right outside my door. I'm sure Yew grows here, but I've never seen a conifer with little red berries on it. I'd be astounded if I did. I hear that because Taxol is very difficult to manufacture the Yew became quite endangered most places it grows, as foragers selectively took it out for the bark to sell to pharmaceutical companies. I have neither ever seen turnips in the wild. Looks like the former owner of that property scattered seed around and they naturalized, which is awesome. Deer are focusing on my turnips right now, and I have just thanked my neighbor for chasing them off the turnip greens a few minutes ago! I am surprised they haven't grazed them into extinction on your place.
What a beautiful property! You are truly blessed.
Thanks!
