In my last article, PRIORITIES// And Period Of Stress
I was discussing with you guys how this period has been the most stressful and disturbing one for me.
I can't even complain about the level of stress I have witnessed or I am witnessing anymore, I just have to deal with it and find a way to tackle and cope with the stress.
I had promised to share a few tips on how I cope with this stressful period of my life. It's nothing very serious as this isn't some kind of browsed or researched work but my personal experience.
How I Deal With Stress
- Sleeping/Resting
As much as possible or as I can, I take my sleeping hours or sleep very importantly, I think I have mentioned this before. I am most active and my body system functions better whenever I have a good hour of rest. So I don't take the slightest chance of sleeping or resting for granted.
Whenever I am overly stressed and I feel kinda numb or blank, I just know it's high time I give my body or myself some rest and adequate sleeping hours.
I do this often and it usually works best for me. Each time I wake up from sleep or after hours of resting, I usually feel much better and it seems as though some burdens had been lifted off my shoulder.
I rest or give myself a break by sleeping when I am outrageously stressed, and yes, it works 100% for me
- Engaged In Gaming
The tone of this makes me sound like a gamer. Well, I don't think I can categorize myself as one cause I am not a game addict, I only do it when I feel like it or when the situation demands I get involved in it.
I have some special gaming apps on my phone which I mostly play whenever I am stressed or I feel like it.
And it takes me winning the game to relieve me of the stress. This is because losing in the game as well, stresses me out as well, so you wouldn't wanna wish that for me, I always do my best to be on the winning end.
Gaming gives makes me forget for a moment the things that are stressing me out or making me so worked up.
- Music
Music is another great therapy to stress. It works like magic, I mean just get yourself that headphone or airpod and tune yourself to the atmosphere you want, and forget all about your worries. And if you do this while sleeping, then you have nothing to worry about, you are already stress-relieved lol.
Music works well for me too and I have always made music my companion when it feels like I am losing it or can't take it anymore or any longer. I let myself be consumed by the world of music and trust me, this is tested and trusted ;).
These are a few ways in which I deal with this stressful period of my life. Though I know how much I am stressed and it's tiring and wearing me out, it is but a phase and it will soon pass away. Nothing stays forever so even this disturbing period will pass away. But for now, I got to deal with it and stay on my toes for whatever is gonna happen.
