Hearing the rhythmic percussion of the heavy raindrops on that day, our craving to eat sweltering flapjacks have escalated. It's been a while since we haven't eaten flap jacks. Our family prefer to make it at home if we have ample time to buy it outside. Hehehe! Regardless of being exhausted from nursing my so cute and active little one. I instantly checked the store room, if there was still a supply of flapjack mix. Good thing, there were still two cartoons left, the Pancake Plus by Magnolia and The Original Hotcake Mix by Maya.
Flapjacks Making Procedures:
- Prepare the ingredients. At the back portion of each 200g of pancake mix cartoon, there are some suggested recipes, and choose the simple and easy one. The ingredients are the following:
- medium size egg for each 200g pancake mix tablespoons cooking oil ½ cup water pack MAYA Original Fluffy n’ Tasty Hotcake Mix 200g
- Beat one medium size egg until foamy, then add two tablespoons of cooking oil. I used the Canola Oil. Then, mix.
- Add pancake mix 200g and ½ cup of water. Whisk until smooth.
- Prepare a frying pan. Set your flame in a low heat to avoid the pancake being burn.
- Brush the pan with a cooking oil or butter. I used the Canola cooking oil.
- Pour two spoons of batter into the pan. Just estimate the amount of batter of your desired size.
- When the edge looks dry (after 1-2 minutes) and is not sticky to the pan anymore, then flip the pancake over and cook the other side for about one minute.
- Transfer it to a serving plate.
- Repeat the procedures for the remaining batter until its done.
I just used the Original Hotcake Mix Fluffy n’Tasty 200g. I was able to make nine medium-sized pieces of flapjacks. The pancake is ready to serve.
I spread star margarine on the pancake, yet you could use some syrup of your desired toppings.
It tasted delicious my family members attested it. Hahaha! Sadly, I was not able to document their moment because I was busy at that time when they ate it. ☹
But anyway, the cravings for flapjacks is achieved! Hehehe! Another easy-to-make and portable on-the-go snack was ingested. Though, the good for the health benefits may vary due to the ingredients used, but sometimes they are just fine. There are those times when we allow ourselves to indulge occasionally in the things that give us an experience of contentment and pleasure despite the consequences it can do – either good or bad.
In my perspective, granting and savoring some desired needs and wants in life could reduce the likelihood of feeling deprived and provides temporary boost to our mood to be motivated again. Let's enjoy life as long as we can.
As Dalai Lama quoted, "The purpose of our lives is to be happy".
That’s all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
