Hello friends,
This is an easy and healthy dinner I made yesterday.
I cooked brown rice, sautéed mini bella mushrooms with garlic, and added grape tomatoes with avocado.
I cooked rice according to the instructions. After it started boiling I lowered the heat and cooked brown rice for 50 minutes. I used 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. Always check the instructions on the packages they might differ from brand to brand.
I rinsed, dried and chopped my mushrooms before sautéing it with clove of garlic in a little amount of vegetable oil. Don’t forget to add some salt.
Next I add any salad veggies that I have in my fridge. Bon appetite
Our weekend was long and busy. We’ve went to 3 parties. We don’t really celebrate Halloween but when friends invite us, of course we want to socialize.
So we didn’t really do anything at home for our kids. Somehow last night we decided to lit up a few candles and use our Jack’O’Lantern we made at our friend’s house. We got vanilla ice cream for dessert and kids started asking for spooky stories immediately. My husband had a few real stories from his childhood. They were scary for him when he was a kid, but now they seem more silly:-)
I told kids one story that scared me when I was a kid. It’s about Dark room in a dark house on a dark hill. The story keeps going and going with a slow quiet voice till the end until it’s time to scream: “Give me your heart!”. I showed it on my husband because didn’t want to scare the kids:-) He wasn’t expecting that kind of ending🙈😅😱.
