Hello Hive community, Sukiyan is an Indian snack mainly in the southern parts. Its one of the healthiest food in the evenings. When I come back from school my mom always prepare it for me. Today I will share how it can be prepared.
INGREDIENTS
| ITEMS | QUANTITY |
|---|---|
| Mung bean | 1 cup |
| Jaggery (grated) | to taste |
| Salt | to taste |
| Maida (flour) | 4 tsp |
| Turmeric powder | 2 tsp |
| Oil | 50 ml |
| Water | 1/2 cup |
PREPARATION
The preparation is very simple and a few ingredients only needed for this tasty snack. First measure
1 cup mung beans and soak it for 8-10 hours.
When the bean became well soaked cooked them for 20 minutes.
At the time of cooking, we can make the batter. For making batter we need Maida flour and turmeric powder and a little salt. Turmeric powder gives the batter an yellowish colour. I take here 4 tsp of flour.
Add 2 tsp of turmeric powder.
Add salt to taste.
Add enough water for the batter.
Now our mung beans is cooked well. We can move it to another plate.
Add some grated jaggery to taste.
Mix them well.
Make small balls using your hand.
In a hot pan pour the oil and brings to boils.
Dip the small balls in the batter and deep fat fry them in the boiling oil.
Flip both sides and fry upto a golden yellow colour.
Our dish is ready, serve hot.
