Today I am with a fish recipe, it is hot and sweet dish. I prepare it in a Indian style and Kerala spices were used. I take about 500gms of prawns.
INGREDIENTS
Marinate :-
Prawns - 500gm
Turmeric - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 3 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
For roasting :-
Oil - 10gms
Onion - 3 nos
Ginger
Garlic - 14 cloves
Green chilli - 5 nos
Tomato - 1 nos
Carrot - a small one
Grated coconut
Salt
PREPARATION
Marinate the prawns with turmeric and red chilli powder, add little salt and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours.
Shallow fat fry the marinated prawns.
Fry both sides upto a brown colour and remove. Keep in a closed bowl.
Lets move to the roasting.
In a hot pan add the balance fried oil. Add the sliced onions.
Add little salt.
When onion became soft add the green chilli and saute.
After a few minutes add the minced garlic and ginger. Make a hole.
Fry them well in oil.
After a few minutes of saute add the small cube sized tomatoes. Mix the well and cook upto the tomatoes became soft.
Add the minced carrots and mix well.
After a few minutes of cooking add the grated coconut, which gives a sweetness.
Mix them well, all the ingredients have to be saute well in oil.
When all the ingredients cooked well add the fried prawns and mix them well.
Cook for a few minutes, be careful never gets stick to the bottom so mix them slowly.
Now the dish is ready, serve hot. Perfect combination with bread, chappathi.
