Hello Foodies. I'm back with another recipe. If you are a foodie like me, you probably stumbled on this kind of recipe on Instagram or Tik Tok. This Hot Oil Noodle dish has been a trend lately and I always wanted to try it because it is obviously vegan-friendly and very easy to make.
In this blog, I will share to you my very own version of Hot Oil Noodles. If you are Filipino this is basically Pansit Canton but with homemade sauce and not from the pack.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED!
Tools:
saute pan
knife
chopping board
mixing bowls
plates
Ingredients:
8 cloves of garlic, minced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
5-6 stalks of green onions, chopped
1 green chili, chopped
2 tbsp of oil
2 tbsp of soy sauce
4 packs of any noodles of your choice
400 g firm tofu, sliced into thin squares
Optional:
chili powder
sesame oil
sesame seeds
Instructions:
1.Heat some oil in a pan and fry the tofu until golden brown.
2.While waiting for the tofu to be cooked, in a bowl, put the garlic, green onion, green chili and soy sauce. If you are adding chili powder, sesame oil and sesame seeds add it as well.
3.Once the tofu is cooked, set aside.
4.In the same pan, add the oil and wait until it is smoking hot.
5.Add the hot oil in the bowl with vegetables and mix.
6.Heat some water to cook the noodles. Cook the noodles based on the instruction in the package.
7.Once the noodles is cooked, add it to the bowl and mix all together.
8.Plate your noodles, added mine some tofu and fresh green onions.
This recipe is very simple yet very tasty. There are several dishes that I wish to try soon it's just sometimes I don't have the motivation to do so or I am simply getting lazy to document it. Today was actually very random. I have no plan of making this dish or taking photos while cooking but I just feel the need to so I can share it here.
I will be making this dish again soon hopefully with the sesame seeds and oil. I don't have it in my pantry so I might going to buy anytime soon. Will you give this recipe a try? Or is there any cooking trend you wish for me to give a try? Let me know in the comments below. That is it for now Foodies! See you on my next post!
