Hello beautiful foodies! I bought a kilo of beef and divide it in two parts to last our food supplies until weekend. I cooked Beef Pumpkin the other day which I posted before, and today I am going to share how I cook our Beef coconut. This is a traditional Indian dish that is delicious and had a distinct taste.
Ingredients:
Beef 500 grms
Coconut pieces ( as desired)
Coconut oil
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Green chili 8 pcs.
Mustard seeds 1tspn
to blender:
Shallots 20pcs.
Onion 1med
Ginger 2inches
Garlic 3 cloves
Fennel seeds 1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds 1/2 tspn
black pepper powder 1tspn
Kashmir chili powder 1tbspn
Coriander powder 1/ 1/2 tbspn
Turmeric powder 1/2 tspn
Garam masala powder 1/4 tspn
Salt ( as per taste)
Methods:
In a blender machine , put all the ingredients under to blender and blender to a smooth paste.
Just like this.
Add the blendered masala to the beef , coating all the beef pieces
Adding a half cup of water, then pressure cook for 6 whistles.
Meanwhile, prepare coconut and slice it into thin small pieces.
Heat coconut oil, add in Coconut pieces, fry till the you can smell the aroma.
Add in mustard seeds.
Add in beef to the coconut
Do not add water.
Add in chili and curry leaves.
Adjust salt if necessary.
Stir.
Put to lid. Cooked for 30min. More under low fire, occasionally stir, Not stick on the bottom.
You may open lid, to reduce the water in the curry.
This curry is semi dry, it goes well with rice, paratha and chappati.
Thank you very much for dropping by!
