HELLO EVERYONE
Hope everybody is doing well and living happy simple life. Here's a dish I want to share with you today is chicken adobo with egg.
Adobo is a very popular dish but it originated in spanish word adobar or marinate. And it is considered a national dish here in the Philippines.
And it's not just chicken and pork that can be cooked in adobo. You can also have fish adobo, eggplant, green beans like string beans and baguio beans, water spinach and even squid.
And when we cook adobo here at home sometimes we put vegetables and sometimes we put potatoes but today I love to use sweet potatoes and fortunately the outcome was very delicious.
And it would have been better if the vinegar to be used was coconut vinegar but I don't have it now because our coconut hasn't produced vinegar yet due to the storm.
So, guys lets start preparing our ingredients.
My ingredients:
Chicken
Sweet potato
Garlic
Onions
Green pepper
Ginger
Vinegar
Soy sauce
Salt
Magic sarap
Ajinomoto
Ground pepper
Oil for sautee
After preparing all the ingredients let's proceed to cooking.
COOKING PROCEDURE
Boil the egg. And when the egg is cooked peel it and set aside.
In a hot pan put oil saute garlic, onions, ginger cook until golden brown.
Add the chicken and mix well. Cover and cook for for 5 minutes.
Put soy sauce, vinegar, green pepper, sweet potato, salt, magic sarap, ajinomoto and mix well. Cover and let it simmer until the sweet potato is tender. And taste it.
And add the egg, ground pepper and mix. And serve.
FINISHED PRODUCT
