Hello Everyone... How are you today?
Today I want to share the recipe for Bala-bala. Bala-bala, also known as bakwan, is a fried food made from vegetables and wheat flour commonly found in Indonesia. People who come from West Java usually call this bala-bala. However, this is more commonly called bakwan in the public.
These snacks are widely sold on the streets. This food has a crunchy texture and delicious taste. In this month of Ramadan, many people are selling this bakwan. Why is that? Because this snack is the first choice for breaking the fast.
These snacks are usually eaten together with chilies or with peanut sauce which is called pecel.
Well, let me start introducing the ingredients and how to make it.
BALA-BALA OR BAKWAN
The Ingredients
Assorted vegetables (carrots, cabbage / bean sprouts, Spring onions, celery)
Cooking oil
2 cloves of garlic
5 cloves of shallot
1 teaspoon of ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon of powdered broth
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Weath flour
Step by step
Step 1
Wash the vegetables and then cut into small pieces
Step 2
Put the flour into a bowl filled with vegetables.
Step 3
Add all the spices including the mashed onion and garlic
Step 4
Pour a little water while stirring the dough. Make the dough soft and not too runny.
Step 5
After that, heat the oil then fry the dough using a tablespoon so that the size is the same. Fry over medium heat so that it doesn't burn quickly and the vegetables in it are cooked.
Step 6
Remove from the pan and serve on a plate
That was the recipe and how to make bala-bala or bakwan. I hope you all like the recipes that I share. Thank you for reading my blogs ❤
