Halooo... What do you eat for dinner?
I have a big stomach, so sometimes I need big portion. *smirk.
Tonight I have special menu. Mie Goreng Kampung (Fried Noodles Village). I order from my neighbor. They were sale Mie Goreng (Fried Noodles), Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice), Bakso (Meat Ball), Mie Ayam (Chicken Noodles), and Kwetiau.
Their menu that I loved the most is Mie Goreng Kampung (Fried Noodles Village). I don't know why this fried noodle is called Mi Goreng Kampung. I think the indication of the name is due to the spices used. Or maybe it's called kampung fried noodles because it's made in the village. Ha ha ha
Mie Goreng Kampung is the same as other fried noodles. Made from yellow noodles (noodles that have a larger texture and are more yellow in color), we often call it Mie Lidi.
Lidi is a palm leaf bone which is usually made for brooms.
The noodles used for this fried noodle are very chewy but not easily broken. Not hard but also not soft like the noodles found in instant noodles. The volume is denser and big.
This fried noodle Village is spicy. In addition to noodles cooked with spicy spices, this fried noodle contains sunny side up egg, crackers, meatball pieces, chicken pieces, sausage pieces, a slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber and a sprinkling of celery leaves.
Uniquely, sales in my village, every order ordered, the packaging includes banana leaves. This is to prevent Mie Goreng from making the actual wrapper of the rice wrapper from being damaged. So this is good for reducing the use of plastic, where as I seen, in big cities the street food vendors use stereo foam which has plastic inside to wrap their food. Banana leaves in the village are also easier to find, so it is more environmentally friendly.
Okay, I think what I share is enough. Thanks for reading my blog. See you next time.
