Last Saturday was quite rainy, and I was meant to go out to grab some stuff. While browsing through my phone, I noticed was online and asked how she was doing, and we ended up arranging to meet for a late lunch.
I got dressed and texted her that I was running late due to traffic. I arrived at Ayala about 2:45 PM and waited for her. I looked for a place where we can sit and have our lunch. I wanted to go to Dessert Factory since we both adore their cakes, and she indicated she wanted to go back with me the next time we see each other, but it was already busy and there was no room for us.
I had to select a new location since I didn't want to interact with a large number of people and felt overwhelmed, so I decided to go somewhere less busy. Walking around the same corner, I came across Boy Zugba. I felt really fortunate since I could see that it was not busy and that there were several open tables. I walk in and like the vibe.
While I waited, I ordered Mais Con Yelo to quench my thirst. I took my time looking through the menu and deciding what to get. She eventually came after 15 minutes. We took a few moments to catch up on what had transpired and select what we needed to get.
While we waited for our food, told me about her busy schedule and how much she wanted to attend our next hive meet-up. I'm hoping the timetable works well for her.
We then talk about what each person in the group is like when we're together, and I tell her that everyone gets along well and has various attitudes and personalities that she can connect to if she ever has the chance to meet them.
The food is almost done, and because we had the place to ourselves, I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph the interior of the restaurant. Some of the decorations inside reminded me of things you might see in the province, such as using the Pugon or Furnace, as we called it in our province. It came in handy and we used charcoal or chopped wood.
When the food was served, I was shocked because the portion is large enough to share with one or two additional people. You can also get unlimited rice, and I'd say this is a terrific venue for group or family gatherings. I love how the food tastes and you can tell that it was marinated overnight and the pork is not hard to chew at all. The sauce as well is terrific. This place is a good value for the money if you are in a group. It took as an hour before we decided to leave the place.
We then went out and got what we needed before returning home as the rain began to fall again and it was getting dark.
How about you, hivers? What did you do on Saturday? I hope you have a productive weekend. Please take care during these rainy days, be safe and dry.
xoxo ❤️
