That time when we were in Boracay Island, we were looking for an eatery/cafe/restaurant near our stay-in place where we could have a quick breakfast. We walked for a few minutes right after we reached the beachfront.
We passed by a simple eatery with a signed REAL COFFEE & TEA SHOP. The word "coffee" caught my attention because I was in dire need of one. Despite this, we decided to walk further...
Upon realizing that it would still take us 10-15 more minutes to find a place to eat with the path we chose, we ended up going back to Real Coffee & Tea Cafe. And I was glad we did!
It was but a simple local eatery but I noticed on the signage "est 1996". That would mean the business has been running for more than 27 years now! Another signage also says "Home of the Original Calamansi Muffins" which later on I bought a box to share with my family. It did taste like a calamansi and was so delicious.
They have a huge poster showing the menu so you can get a glance at what they offer. They offer a variety of coffee drinks, tea, fruit shakes, breakfast meals, and salads. Besides the calamansi muffin, they have brownies & cookies.
The lady at the counter told us that we can order upstairs and so we went. I then noticed these hundreds of photos on the wall. As I looked at them closely, they were all pictures of their guests throughout those years.

When I was about to climb the stairs, I then noticed the sign "MILLION DOLLAR VIEW". It took me some time to understand what it meant until I reached the 2nd floor.
This was the Seaview Balcony...
The place is quite simple with wooden frames, tables, and chairs. It's an open-air floor though there are a few electric fans around. The one thing that stands out in this place is the hundreds of photos covered all over the tables and even on the counter covers. It was a unique concept and shows that they value their customers.
Only then we chose to sit at the far end table did we see the Million Dollar View...
The view was just breathtaking! The sea, the white sand, the coconut trees, and people just enjoying their time at the beach. It was just beautiful, relaxing scenery that you would only get to see on the balcony. No wonder they named it a million-dollar view.
As for the food, I ordered Eggs on Toast which costs Php 170 or $3.09 paired with Cappucino also at Php 170 or $3.09. So a total of $6. I am a light eater during breakfasts so it was enough to satiate my taste buds before heading to our workshops later that day.
We stayed for an hour as we silently enjoyed the coffee, food, and breathtaking scenery. The place is worth it, if not for the food, then for that Million Dollar View. 😉
Pinning this in pinmapple for anyone who might be looking for a place to eat in Boracay early in the morning. They are open at 7:00 am.
