There are many ways for people to be happy, I agree with that saying. There are many ways people can get happiness, such as having a harmonious family, going on vacation, winning the lottery and also eating delicious food.
I really like to eat or culinary tour. Therefore, this time I want to share my culinary stories and experiences with all members of Foodies Be Hive Community. I hope my story can give happiness to others who read it. What will I discuss this time? Stay tuned.
The First Pool Bar and Resto in My City
In this culinary tour story, we start from my journey and visit to one of the new cafes that is also currently viral in my city, Dimigo Pool Resto & Bar (Dimigo Resto). I've got some content on my social media about the review of this café. I am also very curious to visit this cafe.
The opportunity to come to Dimigo Resto finally came to me. I saw on one of the social media pages, there was a promo for lunch at this café. I also decided to buy the promo voucher and went there. The location of this café is not too far from my house, it only takes around 10-12 minutes to drive by motorbike or car. I have crossed the street from this café several times, and really like the design and architecture. Unfortunately, at that time I still didn't know what I was going to try there.
Dimigo Resto has an interesting concept. All places and corners of this café are very pleasing to the eye. Apparently, this cafe has a target consumer for people who like to play social media. Yup, we can see almost every minute there are visitors or customers who are taking pictures, selfies or taking pictures together. I think the majority of visitors are interested in coming to this place because of the unique and beautiful design and concept of this café. The question is, will these visitors come again to this place after the first visit? let's discuss the food and the service, because those two things tend to make people come back to a café or restaurant.
Fried Kwetiau Seafood
Dimigo Pool Bar & Resto provides a very complete variety of food and drink menus with various choices. For food, we can choose Indonesian food, Chinese food, or western food. The food menu is very complete too, from traditional food to modern food. So, if you bring a large family from grandparents to grandchildren with age gaps and cultural differences and food tastes, Dimigo Resto can be a solution as a restaurant that you can visit in Medan City.
I have one bad habit, when I see too many food menu lists, I get very confused to choose the food. In the midst of my confusion, I accidentally saw the waiter deliver a menu of fried kwetiau seafood to a customer sitting near my table. Finally, I decided to choose the same menu.
My order was served in perfect time, about 10-12 minutes after I placed my order. I also ordered a glass of iced lemon tea as my drink. When my order was delivered to my table, I was shocked. Why does the fried kwetiau seem like a very small portion?
I tried rotating the plate, it seems that this cafe chose the wrong plate to serve this fried seafood kwetiau menu. In my opinion, to serve food in the form of noodles, it is better served on a smaller plate with the bottom slightly down (like a bowl), not served on a flat white plate like this.
Okay, let's end the debate about the plate. Let's discuss this seafood fried kwetiau. First, I like the texture of the flat and widened kwetiau, very different from the fried kwetiau that I often eat. Second, I could only see shrimp topping on my dish. I think, instead of giving the name seafood fried kwetiau it is better to change it to prawn fried kwetiau.
I was surprised for the taste. I didn't have any expectations about the taste of this food, especially when I saw the two things earlier. I think, Dimigo Café only focuses on the impression of visitors when they come but doesn't really care about the food. However, the taste of the fried seafood kwetiau changed my perspective. The taste of this food is very delicious. The composition of the seasoning is perfect, the spicy and savory taste is also balanced so I can enjoy this dish.
I am satisfied with the taste of the dishes at Dimigo Pool Bar & Resto. In addition, I am also amazed by the service from every employee of this place. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and given a seat recommendation according to my wishes. The weather at that time was hot and hot, so the receptionist recommended sitting in the indoor room.
I think, if this café can maintain the taste and service, visitors will definitely come back and Dimigo Pool Bar and Resto will not be a one-time cafe. That's all my story this time, see you next time.
