Hello, everyone!ππ
Nice to see you again. Today I will share to you a little bit knowledge of making "kinilaw na isda"π. I don't think so if you hear this in your whole lifeπ€ "a fish salad with coconut milk!" π π₯ hahah. I do know what you call it but we call it in our dialect (Waray-waray) as "kinilaw na hinatukan nga isda" for short "hinatukan nga kinilaw". This food is popular in our barangay. It can be served in different kind of occasions if you like toπ.
Do you know how to make this? If Yes then that's good but if No let me help you outπ. The first thing that you will going to do is to prepare the ingredients of courseπ. So what are they? Okay here it is:
- Fish
- Vinegar
- Salt
- Ginger
- 1-2 pieces of Tomato
- 1-2 pieces of Onion
- 2-4 pieces of Lemon
- 1/2 glass of Coconut milk; to make it more special.π
Now, affter completing all the ingredients let us proceed to step by step process of making "hinatukan nga kinilaw". Here is the procedure:
Remove the scale, internal organs, gill, bones, tail and separate the flesh in a clean bowl. Do it up to the last fish you have.
Pour a vinegar and salt in the flesh of fishes in the bowl and squeeze it by your hands to remove the smell of the fish. Do it 2 times.
Chop the ingredients, ginger, tomato and onion using a knife into a tiny square shape. And pour it in the squeezed fish and then mix it up.
Squeeze the lemon and pour the coconut milk and add a small amount of vinegar and salt to achieve the taste you want and then mix it again.
Lastly, like a regular salad you can put your "kinilaw" with coveron top of a bowl in your refrigerator to chill for 2-3 minutes.
And tadaaah! You now have a "hinatukan nga kinilaw".
That's all for now, I hope you like it and learned something newπ.
Thank you and have a good day.
God bless...
