Went back to have dinner with my father today. Something I try to do weekly when we're able to. It's always nice to have a lovely dinner with good conversations with him as my dad is a very knowledgeable person. Today, was one of those days.
We went to our neighborhood Japanese restaurant called Fugu. We frequent there a lot that the owners are our friends too and sometimes get treats. Today, the treat was Macallan Quest whiskey which I did not have but my dad and husband had.
Here's what we ordered:
Mine was the Gyuniku Teppanyaki Set which is Australian Sirloin Beef with vegetables. Since it's a set, it comes with steamed egg, miso soup, potato salad and watermelon.
My husband had the Torikatsu Curry Set which is Deep Fried Chicken Cutlet with Japanese Curry which comes with a simple and refreshing salad

My dad had his usual (he orders this EVERYTIME we're there) Salmon Head soup and a handroll. I have had that salmon head soup before and it is very very tasty, well balanced, and hearty, especially on the cold rainy days
To share, we ordered the Spider Roll which is the crispy Soft Shell Crab with lettuce, ebiko, avocado and mayo. We usually order another sushi when my brother and his girlfriend joins us but this time since it's just 3 of us, we decided to have lesser hence this. It was alright, I thought could be better
We love this place a lot and it's very convenient too that we come at least once a month! Just a simple yet consistent business run for many years just 3 minutes drive from my father's home.
