Hello friends lovers of cooking and good food, I hope you are having a nice week. Welcome once again to my blog. This time I want to participate in the Hive Creative Contest , a contest organized by my friend
in collaboration with
With a super easy and simple to make dessert.
The protagonist ingredient for this week is nothing more and nothing less than milk. Who doesn't like a nice glass of warm or cold milk in some cases? Milk is an indispensable food in every kitchen, there are many recipes that use this ingredient, either as a base or simply to complement or add a touch of creamy flavor to meals.
El arroz con leche es un postre tradicional, no lo puedo aludir solo a mi país de origen ya que en este país también es un postre criollo que se suele acompañar con "Mazamorra morada" y se come de noche en las temporadas de invierno.
Since milk is a favorite ingredient in most desserts, I chose to prepare a dessert that I like very much, in fact I think it is one of the desserts I prepare the most because it is so simple and tasty. It is a sweet and hot Rice pudding , ideal for cold and rainy afternoons like today.
Rice pudding is a traditional dessert, I can not allude only to my country of origin because in this country it is also a Creole dessert that is usually accompanied with "Mazamorra morada" and is eaten at night in the winter seasons.
- 1 Lata de leche evaporada
- 2 Latas pequeña de leche condensada (o 1 grande)
- 1 taza azúcar blanca
- 2 Tazas de arroz
- Esencia de vainilla
- Canela en ramas
- Canela en polvo
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 small cans of condensed milk (or 1 large can)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 cups rice
- Vanilla essence
- Cinnamon sticks
- Powdered cinnamon
#1
Lavar muy bien el arroz para que bote todo el almidón y las posibles impurezas que pueda tener.
#2
Bring to the fire with twice the amount of water for the amount of rice and add the cinnamon stick to flavor the rice while cooking over low heat.
#3
While the rice is cooking, place the evaporated milk, condensed milk, sugar and a little vanilla essence in the blender. Blend until very frothy.
#4
Before the rice is completely dry, add the mixture we made in the blender, stir with a wooden paddle and let it cook over low heat.
#5
Remove from the heat when the rice is soft enough. In particular, I usually leave a little liquid because when it cools down it becomes a little dry and I prefer a more moist and creamy consistency.
#6
It is usually served hot. I put a little condensed milk on top and a little cinnamon powder, which gives it a sweeter touch and a stronger flavor.
As a final result, we have a delicious dessert, easy, economical and simple to prepare. This was my entry for the Hive creative Contest, where the star ingredient of the week is Milk. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
