Hi Hive Foodies & Whisky Lovers,
i had a real special date the other night and
we had Whisky & Choclate.😉
We finished this excellent Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky from Japan.
In the picture below from https://www.hotalingandco.com/
you can check out, how a full bottle looks...😅
Gotta buy a new one soon!
The taste is really special & smooth,
and it was my first time that i tasted this Whisky.
At first sight you read "Coffey" and your mind goes...
ah, "Coffee"....nice. No.😄
I asked Baby (she brought the Bottle and introduced me to this whiskey),
can you taste the "Coffee"-taste....Yeah,yeah,i can taste it....😊
I was tasting a very good whisky, but not really sure about a "Coffee"-taste,
but sure about a special, delicate, fade out in the taste...
So, Coffey Grain Whisky is not Coffee Grain...🙃
I even thought i can cross-post it #cinnamoncupcoffee ...No.😜
The "Coffey Grain" refers to Coffey Stills Named after one of its early proponents and patent-holders, Irishman Aeneas Coffey,..

Nikka Coffey Grain is a grain whisky, which is typically used for blending, but rarely bottled on its own. The secret behind Nikka’s grain whisky is its unique flavor generated by Coffey stills, which are traditional continuous stills patented by Aneas Coffey in the 1830s. The rich corn and touch of honeyed citrus taste of Coffey Grain is also excellent in cocktails.
