At first, I wanted to make sour cream soup with tilapia but because I lack the ingredients, I just try to use what I have in my pantry and I probably just made a new recipe. I have not seen this recipe anywhere.
This dish is a mixture between cauliflower, potato, carrot, cabbage and tilapia fillet simmered in milk. I don't use too many spices. The only thing I use was salt and black pepper. This mixture is truly versatile as filling of pastries, naan bread, or spring rolls, even to put on top of pasta. You can simply eat it while it's hot with a bread.
Ingredients
- 1 tilapia fillet
- 150 ml milk
- each of these 1 (chopped sweet carrot, cabbage, potato and cauliflower)
- 2 pinch of salt
- 2 pinch of black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp seaweed crumbs {optional}
How to Cook
- Pour milk wait until it's boiled.
- add salt and pepper then put the vegetables
- Next, add tilapia fish to the mixture
- Simmer for approximately 40-50 minutes
- When it's done, serve while it's hot with seaweed crumbs as garnish
How does it taste?
it tasted creamy almost like mashed potato. You don't have to add too much salt cause it's already salty from the mixture of cauliflower and the tilapia fish. I do think it will go well with spaghetti. Since the simmering process takes a bit of time, you can do something else while waiting for it.
