Actually, my husband and I have often enjoyed lontong satay at this place, but when I hadn't been to this place for several months, it turned out that there had been a change that made this place a little different, namely the presence of a vine that had started to spread, this plant turned green and became a decoration. experienced on the roof precisely above our table. Apart from being a new sight, this grape tree makes a very simple place a little luxurious, I hope that when I next visit this place the grape trees will bear fruit.
This place does not sell other menus apart from lontong satay. The place is also very simple with 2 long tables and benches facing each other. Most people buy lontong satay at this place to take home wrapped. And once again, the lontong satay menu here only offers chicken satay and no goat, beef or other meat satay. And the price of lontong satay per portion is Rp. 8000 or the equivalent of 0.512 U$ Dollars. In one portion of satay we will be served 1 ketupat that has been split and there are 6 chicken satay skewers inside. This satay is also still warm because it was grilled immediately when the order was placed. Then the lontong and satay are drizzled with very thick curry spices and this thick curry spice is the star of the cake with a distinctive taste that you can't get from other recipes.
In my country, Indonesia, there are lots of culinary delights that are delicious and cheap and guaranteed to be clean. And lontong satay in Indonesia also has many types, especially the spices that are served with it. And tonight I will only specifically review lontong satay with Padang spices. Actually, this Padang spiced lontong satay comes from West Sumatra Province, which is next to my province. The characteristic of this Padang satay seasoning is the thick sauce which comes from curry and other spices and a mixture of tapioca flour and that is why the pot of curry sauce is always placed next to the burning of the satay. This is so that the satay seasoning does not burn. cold and always hot. Because if the curry sauce is cold, the sauce will no longer thicken and will even tend to be runny, this is because tapioca flour is a mixture in the seasoning.
And if you want to increase the portion at this place then that's fine and if you just want to add the satay without adding the ketupat then that's fine too, and look at the end I ate how many skewers I finished because it was too delicious and of course not draining my pockets. So for those of you who come to Indonesia, don't miss this Padang satay menu, you will definitely be addicted. Hopefully at the end of December I will be able to visit West Sumatra, where this satay originates, even though it will take a 24 hour road trip by bus. So keep following my posts and greetings from Maytom. Indonesia
