It's been a few days that the weather in my city has been very hot, so that even though I have used skincare, my skin feels burned. Especially in the current state of fasting, as a woman, I really have to rack my brain on how to present a delicious and refreshing menu as our iftar dish for the first dish we ate. And coincidentally today there is a seasonal fruit that I bought from an online merchant in my area. The seasonal fruit is called Matoa Fruit.
Matoa fruit is like a large betel nut. And there is something strange about this matoa fruit. Although the name is matoa fruit, the taste of this matoa fruit resembles other fruits. Confused right? This matoa fruit has 2 flavors, namely rambutan flavor and durian taste. Matoa fruit flesh like longan fruit. white and has small seeds inside. The taste of the fruit is very sweet and there is a durian or rambutan aroma in it, a very cool fruit in my opinion. And this matoa fruit can be processed into various kinds of processed foods or can also be mixed with drinks like I did.
Because it was a very hot day so I decided to make fruit ice with a mixture of several ingredients. And I made it without added sugar. And there is no special measure here, it all depends on our taste and what kind of fruit mix we like. And so do I. I use fruit that my husband and I both like. The materials needed are.
1. Watermelon
2. Matoa fruit
3. Raspberry Syrup
4. Orange
5. Jelly
6. Ice cubes.
To make it more attractive and save more space, I decided to empty the watermelon shell and remove the contents to make an ice container there. After the shell is empty and the watermelon flesh has been removed. First I put the matoa fruit in it, after that I rearranged the watermelon which I had cut into small pieces, then I mixed the jelly pieces. After that then I mix the rasbery syrup. And I add water.
After all mixed I add ice cubes. Because all the fruit that I put in is sweet, so I add citrus fruits here, to make it taste a little sour and fresh so that when this drink passes through the esophagus it can actually be passed perfectly and because the fruit ice that I make does not contain sugar or artificial sweeteners, so on the roof of my mouth it does not taste bitter and does not make me cough.
Once again there is no special measure here, I really like watermelon so the fruit I make is watermelon, besides that because watermelon has a fairly high water content so it is very suitable to be served for a thirst quenching menu.
I'm sure when you make this ice you can't stop enjoying it, but too much of anything isn't good either, right? So you have to understand the dose when you drink it, lest you be full of this ice and not perfect in other worship. And because you enjoy the freshness of this ice too much, you don't eat the main menu that contains carbohydrates. So how is this fruit ice recipe? Do you like it?
