Hello foodies, trust you all had a great weekend?
After I came back from church, the network wasn't stable so I was having difficulties to login to my Hive account. When things was getting bored, I decided to try something out. I remember my Mum bought some paint of flour two weeks ago. I made up my mind to make Chin Chin, I went to the small store to buy the other ingredients and I begin at once.
Other Ingredients
Baking Powder
Liquid Milk (2 Tin)
Butter
Vegetable Oil
Powder Milk
Sugar and Salt
Steps 1: take a big bowl, sieve the Flour, then add the Baking Powder, a pinch of salt, the powder milk and mix thoroughly. Then in another small bowl emptied all the liquid milk and add the sugar then mix, pour the sugars and milk mixture into the Flour and begin to mix again, make sure it become sticky. Add a little water and mould it to a round ball just has shown in the image below.
Step 2: Now that the Dough is ready, sprinkle little flour on the table, now cut the Dough in two sizes, you can cut to different sizes but in my own case I just cut into two.
Step 3: Take one Dough I cutter, then spread it on the table, use the rolling pin to flattened it, then I started rolling to give it a smooth surface.
Step 4: repeat the same for the second one, then use a cutter or knife to cut straight.
Step 5: After cutting it out straight, then I use knife to cut it out in a cube form. This is most how African cut out their Chin Chin.
Step 6: Put a frying pan on a low medium heat, add the vegetable oil and preheat for 3 minutes. Then slowly add pour in the raw chin chin cube and fry till it become brown, turn it around and fry the other side. Do this to the rest of the raw chin chin. Here we go, serve and enjoy with chilled soft drink 😁
