Quería compartir con ustedes la manera como mis hijas me hicieron pasar un hermoso día de cumpleaños.
Fue una sorpresa lo que organizaron y además me pareció muy original la manera como hicieron la presentación de cada una de las comidas del día, con su respectiva bandera del país de origen.
Desayuno:
Fue un desayuno típico americano. Con huevo frito y tocineta, pan tostado con mantequilla y ajo y por supuesto el café que no puede faltar . La comida estuvo adornada con una bandera de los Estados Unidos.
Almuerzo
Me hicieron un rico pasticho que según me contaron mis hijas tiene su origen entre Grecia e Italia. Para aquella época habían guerras y conflictos y no está muy seguro si fue llevado desde la antigua Roma hasta Grecia.
La ensalada Cesar que acompañó al pasticho la prepararon con lechuga, pan tostado, queso pecorino, tocineta y ajo. Me sorprendió que haya sido preparada por primera vez en la ciudad de Tijuana en México por un chef italiano de nombre César
El jugo lo prepararon con una fruta llamada Lulo. Es uno de mis favoritos, es muy ácido y aromatico. con azúcar, queda super rico. Su color es verde. La planta es originaria de Ecuador y por eso su nombre es Solanum quitoensis que hace honor a la ciudad de Quito.
Y por último la cena, con unos perros calientes muy sabrosos con papitas fritas y cebolla picadita y queso pecorino rallado. Su origen es Alemania, desde donde se llevo a los Estados Unidos y ahora se consume en muchas partes del mundo.
Y para cerrar este maravilloso día no podía faltar mi torta de cumpleaños. Yo ya le había dicho a mis hijas que la quería de limon y ellas me complacieron con esta rica torta con crema de limón, cubierta de limón y crema de chocolate.
Agradezco mucho a Dios por este año de mi vida y sobre todo por darme unos hijos maravillosos. Son mi mayor regalo.
